“The area I would recommend without hesitation
Some points I can't rate for example dealing with complaints. We had no reason for complaints. The whole area was a great stay and I would of places to stay on Corfu select this hotel again.

Everything you need to stay in the holiday to feel comfortable. Great facilities, extra large apartments, great pool, great friendly and helpful hosts. It is also in a great location. Good bus service to Corfu, few minutes walk to the village Benitses. We were very pleased and would love to come back here.

“Andromaches - everything we expected, and more. A wonderful holiday.
From: England, Prestatyn
I spent a week in the Andromaches Apartments with my two (adult) daughters and we had a wonderful time. We had read the reviews so knew it would be good, but nothing had prepared us for the outstanding hospitality of Fedon and Katrin. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The apartment was well equiped and the view from the balcony breathtaking. Some days we stayed around the pool having lunch in the pool bar where they served home cooked moussaka, tasty pizza, toasties and salads. We also sampled their home made wine which was made from the grapes growing along the balconies. The setting of the apartments was excellent being only a short walk to the beach where there was a family run beach cafe serving tasty meals and renting out sunbeds right on the beach. We enjoy walking and made the trip to the centre of Benitses often. The food we sampled was delicious and everyone was so friendly. The Shell Museum was worth a visit as was the Palace of Achillion which was 1.5km further up the hill, and yes, we walked there too - and back. Fedon recommended that we went there in the afternoon when most of the coach trips had departed and as he knows the area so well we always took his advice.
The bus trip to Corfu town was really inexpensive and it was nice to see the sights there.
All in all we had a lovely relaxing break and would certainly go back.

“Amazing Welcome, Unforgetable Holiday
From: UK, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Upon arriving late into the hair-raising Corfu airport (3am) we took a taxi to the apartments, we were tired when we arrived the place seem basic but clean my friend had no fan in her room but double doors onto a large patio. Upon waking we found a fan had been delivered and we had a gorgeous sea view.
The apartment was only 5 minutes walk from the pebble beach which was quiet and had beautiful blue seas (watch out for the sea urchins). Situated in the mountains near the lovely Benitses, the location was ideal, great for getting around in a car (watch out ,driving can be a bit of a knee trembling experiance) or you can take the blue bus for 1 euro into corfu town.
What really made our holiday was the welcome we recieved from the delightful owner Fedon. We looked forward to going to the pool and bar every day to sit and chat with Fedon and Teddy (who worked for Fedon) No problem was too big for Fedon he gave us a map and marked out the good places to go to, he told us of small villages with festivals, consequently we spent lovely evenings sitting eating sardines and drinking barrelled wine with the locals. Fedon even called the airport to change my car booking and have the car delivered to the apartments. Fedon advised us of good places to eat, sights to see and beaches to visit, every day was interesting and yet relaxing thanks to Fedon's helpful advice.
Corfu town is a must see, we spent some wonderful evenings in this beautiful old city, the bars were cosmopolitan and lively, the people welcoming. The 'Venetian Well' restaurant was a fairly expensive but absolutely delicious treat.
When leaving the apartments Fedon, Teddy the dog clefty and the kitten stood on the roadside to wave us off, Teddy even drew us all a picture, we really felt like we were leaving friends. I would advise anyone to visit this beautiful and friendly island (perhaps avoiding Kavos). And the Adromaches Apartments is a place I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a friendly and totally authentic Corfiot experiance
Liked: The amazing welcome which we recieved
Disliked: A little Difficult to find
Tips/Secrets: avoid Kavos like the plague and the nearby Achillieon palace is probably not worth the money

“Great owners, quiet, peaceful
The owners are indeed great, were very helpful and friendly. When abroad, I rarely really feel like home and this was that sort of time. I liked that the place is silent and peaceful, the location is nice, close to sea. The other visitors were also very nice and we had some really nice late evening conversations at the pool bar.
I don't normally return to places I've been to, but this is one place I would like to come back to again and stay longer this time.

We were not expecting too much from booking cheap accommodation over the internet but andromaches turned out to be a brilliant place to stay. The owner, like many of the locals on the island, will go out of his way to help you get the most out of your holiday. Within an hour of arrival we were settled into comfortable air-conditioned rooms with a nice view of the sea and he had given us maps and guides to the island and answered all of our questions with charm and enthusiasm. His recommendations all turned out very well - i think he has been in the business for a long time now so he knows the ins and outs of the island. He even provided us with anti-mosquito spray on our first night - a word of warning to anyone going, the mosquitoes around june time are HUNGRY!
Near the end of our stay, we planned to go on a day cruise to Paxos and Antipaxos to see the caves, but he made a small admin mistake and it turned out that the only day available was the day we were leaving. But, true to his nature, he admitted that he had made a mistake and let us leave our baggage in the apartments and come back in the evening and shower before we left, free of charge. Unlike a lot of places we have stayed at, it seemed to us that the guy was genuinely trying to help us have a a good time, rather than squeezing our euros away.
The apartments are ideally situated for the small fishing port of Benitses which has a number of excellent restuarants, and also within easy walking distance of Achillion (which unfortunately we did not have time to visit, but were told was very good). The easiest way to get around is by bus which is very cheap at 1.10 euros, but leave time for travelling because they rarely follow their schedule. I would highly recommend hiring a car if you want to get the best feel for the island, which will cost only 25-50 per day.
All in all an excellent holiday and thoroughly recommend the apartments to anyone interested in going to corfu!

Just had a lovely week staying here in one of the studio apartments. The first thing to say is that the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, from the instant we arrived and he welcomed me by name we felt like real guests. After letting you settle in he gives you some maps and information about the area and an opportunity to ask any questions you might have. This is something I've never experienced one to one before, and again makes you feel very welcome.
The apartments themselves are set in a lovely grounds which are overflowing with plants and flowers so you have more of the impression of being in a terraced garden rather than an apartment complex. The pool area which also has a small bar attached to it is clean and well kept and has a lovely fresh position looking out over the sea below. If I have one criticism about Andromaches it is that the studio we stayed in was a little run down. For example our shower curtain was old and had holes in it , and the fridge was in need of a good scrub or replacing. Having said that the rest of the room and the bathroom were perfectly clean which is much more important and we had a lovely balcony with a fantastic view out over the bay so what more could you want, (we were on the 1st floor). And for the money we were paying (41 euro a night) you have to be reasonable about what you get - which will always be basic. Couple of small notes you don't get much bedding so if you're the kind who gets cold at night (like my girlfriend) maybe bring a couple of extra t-shirts to wear. Our studio had optional air-con which is charged at 2 euro a day, although we didn't need it because you get a nice fresh breeze coming off the sea. Not all apartments have it though so make sure you request one with it, if it's important to you.
The next best thing about Andromaches is the location. First, it is 5 minutes walk down the hill to a lovely little beach. This has a small charming cafe at the back of it, which provides sun loungers, cold beer, and delicious Greek salads. The sea is warm and wonderful to swim in. Note it is shingle though not sand, but that shouldn't put you off, it such a lovely restful spot. Second, 10-15 minutes walk down the road is Benitses Old Town. This is an attractive place with a real Greek feel to it and some lovely places to eat. I recommend Paxinos in particular! I don't recommend the new town which is further along the coast and contains the kind 'English' orientated bars that I have no interest in. However you never have any need to venture into this unless you want so don't let it worry you. If you want a quiet, relaxing, beautiful, cheap place to stay this is it!
